Sunshine Power: Launches its first 3.5MW Super Charging System!

At the ‘Power Up Together’ 2025 Global Charging Summit in Amsterdam, Sungrow unveiled the world’s first 3.5MW ultra-fast charging system compliant with European standards—the ChargeStack 1000.

The system is designed by Sungrow for high-power applications such as expressway service areas, heavy truck logistics, and public charging hubs, aiming to solve the power bottleneck and deployment efficiency problems that the industry has long faced.

Key features

▍1+X, scalable growth

With its flexible power cabinet module design, operators can easily achieve smooth scaling from 1MW to 3.5MW. The system is compatible with MCS (1500A) and CCS2 (500A oil-cooled, up to 800A) standards, meeting various fleet application scenarios.

The decoupled architecture supports MCS or V2G upgrades without hardware replacement, reducing upgrade costs by up to 70%.

The ChargeStack 1000 is designed with cost efficiency at its core, supporting 1500A fast charging and enabling a 30-minute ‘Power Nap’ charging (SOC 10–95%) to replenish approximately 600kWh.

The SiC modules independently developed by Sungrow achieve an efficiency of 97%, significantly reducing energy loss.

Its Full-Matrix Power Distribution technology boosts charging efficiency by 33% while maintaining 98.5% system availability, ensuring stable operation even in Europe’s variable climate conditions.

ChargeStack 1000 is not merely a charging station, but an integrated solution that combines photovoltaic technology, energy storage, and smart charging management. The system optimizes energy flow and grid interaction through peak shaving, valley filling, demand response, and virtual power plant (VPP) participation, enabling operators to achieve up to 60% profit growth.

Integrated commissioning improves construction efficiency by 50%, and the global service platform provides remote monitoring, rapid response and full life cycle assurance, making each site an intelligent and profitable asset unit.

Heavy truck charging project at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

During the summit, over 150 partners from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific visited Sungrow’s integrated heavy truck storage and charging facility at Schiphol Airport. This is currently the largest heavy truck logistics charging station in the Netherlands, equipped with a total charging capacity of 900kW, capable of supporting simultaneous fast charging for 8 heavy trucks.
